Lets talk about Facebook

Well..first of all. The virus that I thought I got rid of is back, bigger than ever. But that is not my rant today.

To all facebookers out there. Listen up! I do not want to work on any farms, raise any fish, buy and sell any fake residences, start my own roller coaster park, be the lead man in my own Mafia, or receive any gifts in my fake town of yoville. My question is this. Is there a way to block all of that crap? I really get tired of logging into facebook and having 37 requests to receive an apple tree for my farm, which I have never seen. Why we are on facebook topic let me just add that it is not necessary to let me know every time you leave the room, or what your kids or animals may be doing 24 hours a day. Don't get me wrong. Facebook is a great way to keep in touch and catch up. Some take this too far. I have a certain somebody on my friend list, and I will not mention any names, but they updated they're status 8 times in one day, and I don't think they even left the house. This my friends is borderline nuts. Also. Do not send me a friend request, then when I accept, you say absolutely nothing to me at all. That just makes me feel like you are either A. Stalking me. Or B. Spying on me. Now I love kids and have a few of my own, but I really do not care to hear about what little Timmy did at supper last night, or how cute Ralphy looked while peeing in the snow. Just saying keep it to a minimum people. I may as well add also that I can't stand "most" parents who drive around with the little bumper stickers that say.."Proud parent of an honor student". Yeah? Who gives a shit? I am just a "proud parent period". Anyways, it's not always pretty,
but this is just my take.

Adam Lambert at the AMA's

Adam Lambert is gay? Really? With this guys most recent performance at the AMA's I lost what little respect I had for him as an artist. And yes I knew he was gay, after about his second performance on idol. I mean seriously..Who didn't? Fact is I have never liked this cat, and it has nothing to do with his sexual orientation. I just personally think his singing sucks. Not for me. Not today, not tomorrow and never will like his over exaggerated style.

After his performance on the AMA's and the complaints came pouring in. He is now falling on on his gayness to bail him out. Saying that he is only being attacked because he is a gay man. No Adam. You are being attacked because you had some dude act like he was giving you a BJ on prime time TV. Followed that with kissing a dude, having people on leashes, grabbing your junk, and topping it all off with the infamous "bird" to the crowd and the millions of viewers. One being my 15 year old daughter, as well as many others children. The fact that your performance fell just short of some soft core porn that I have seen on skinimax is what started the complaints pouring in. Dude people don't care if your gay. They just care if you are disgraceful twit on National television. Remember Elvis? Remember the Superbowl? All had controversial performances. They all offered apologies, which this guy hasn't. His response? I'm a performer not a babysitter. This dude is going to fade away very fast, but again..
This is just my take.

Have the Chiefs turned the corner?

I must start by saying that, I am as big of a fan as anyone of the Chiefs. Anyone who personally knows me can attest to this. Now, Here we go.

As I watched the chiefs against the defending Superbowl champs this past week, I couldn't help but notice the feeling was a little different. Maybe it was from watching the opening Kickoff returned to the house. Which gave the chiefs the earliest lead they have had all year. I can't pinpoint exactly what it was, but I certainly had a different vibe. Now, with that being said I have heard over and over how some think that they have "turned the corner". I really do not want to be "that guy", but please Chiefs fans. Lets be realistic, it was one win. Yes against a very good team. We had some things go our way and we didn't give up, and now we have won 2 in a row. We have so many things that need to be fixed with this team, and winning one game against the defending champs isn't it. I do understand that it helps with team morale, and we needed a hefty dose of that. My point? We have the same Offensive line and we have the same personal as we did before the wins. We are not going to keep winning on morale alone, and 1 game does not turn the corner to greatness in the NFL. If it does, then it may be short lived as we play San Diego on the road this week. The same San Diego who beat us 37-7 in our house week 7. I might add that was after a week 6 win we had against the redskins.

All I am saying is be realistic. If the Chiefs do get a win on the road this week, against the division leader, then we would officially be on a winning streak and be able to talk about approaching the corner.

The key to the Chiefs beating the Chargers? Keep Cassel close until the fourth Quarter. Do you know that Matt Cassel is the 5th ranked QB in the fourth quarter? With a 95 rating, he has 8TD's and only 2 interceptions. He is in the top ten for the entire league. Also we now have another weapon in Charles. How smart were we for letting Johnson go? LJ had 134 attempts for 382 yards, with a 2.9 yard average, and 0 TD's. My man Charles has 64 attempts for 313 yards, with a 4.9 yard average, and a TD.

One thing in all of this is. Regardless if we are winning or losing, lets support our chiefs and we will be on top again one day.

This is just my take.

Larry Johnson

Oh..How sweet it was to see LJ in a Cincy uniform. I for one was probably one of the happiest Chief fans to see him go. Not only for the crude remarks and cry-baby attitude, but more importantly because I personally think he sucks. No more are the days of seeing Larry run to the line of scrimmage drag his dead leg and turn around and go to the ground backwards, after being tackled by "his" offensive lineman. Larry is now no more than a 3rd down back, or a spell HB. He may even be better suited as a FB. Regardless this schmuck is out of KC and he is now Cincy problem. I am betting that this is the start of the disapearing act for LJ. Slowly fading into a distant memory. Bodog has the over-under on the yards that he will get for the remainder of the year at 150. Yesterday he managed 5. They really know what they are doing over there at Bodog! Good riddance LJ, and I will salute you as you fade into the memory of mediocracy.

This is just my take.

Mangino

I am so over the Mark Mangino saga. Chris and Cowboy from 610 sports completely over did it with this story. Which in my opinion was completely blown out of porportion from the start. Have these people forgot what Mangino did for KU football? I mean who do they think KU is? They are not an elite program and are going to be a joke if they let Mangino go. This is completely related to the record and I'm sure it goes deeper than that with Lew Perkins. Chris from 610 has had it in for Mangino ever since he did the unthinkable and bench Reesing in the fourth quarter. Now Mangino must go because he hurt some punk kids feelings at football practice, or he poked some kid in the chest. I can only say that I am grateful that neither of these sissy boys are serving our country in war right now. As for recruiting at Kansas never going to be well for them if Mangino leaves, it would be just fine and people would forget about this in a week if it would just not be talked about day in and day out. I can only imagine what the recruiting will be like if Mangino does leave. KU will be a joke again in the big 12. I hope Lew makes the right decision. Remember this Lew?

"This is an appropriate reward for someone who has done a terrific job with the Kansas football program," Perkins said. "Chancellor Hemenway and I think it's important that we not only reward Mark for the job he's done, but also give him the support and stability he needs to keep this football program a successful and nationally respected program."

If Mangino does leave Kansas, just remember, You asked for it.
This is just my take.
