Hey gang! Well here we go again. I was just sitting here watching the KU game and realized it had been awhile since I went on a rant. I got to thinking about some stories I have heard about recently. One being that of a woman who blew up in a McDonalds for not being happy with the burger she got. Because it did not represent what it depicted in the photo. She proceeded to cuss, and throw both cash registers, the straws, napkins, and anything else she could reach, at the chic behind the counter. This kind of gave me mixed emotions. At first I was like..."What the"? After I thought about it more I started to understand why this chic got so pissed. Have any of you noticed how bad fast food is these days? From just flat out being not worth the money, to them never getting an order right? I am starting to think that most of these places should require anyone over the age of 20 to at least have an associates degree to work there. Or be in charge of the fries. We do however have a McDonalds in Topeka that is above and beyond the usual protocol when it comes to fast food speed and service. So props to them.
Next on my rant list? I want to know at what point was it required that you had to be a sissy boy to play college sports? Just go down the list. Yeah we all know about Mangino (Apparently hadn't had same problem at McDonalds)and his forced resignation from KU for being to brutal on the fragile football players. Then you have The South Florida football player who is now demanding that coach Jim Leavitt who was fired also, apologize to him publicly, for allegedly grabbing him, and slapping him in the back of the head. Seriously dude? Man up. The list goes on. You have coach Leach who had one of his players stay in an equipment room after having a concussion because he could not practice with team. This I must admit made me wander, but at the same time I kinda thought it was funny. But just a little. Last week you had the big news of K-State coach Frank Martin being criticized for tapping a guy on the shoulder as he was trying to get his attention, because the guy made a bone headed play, then wasn't listening during the timeout. Did you see this game? Please man. That guy didn't grow up in a bubble. It is just starting to drive me mad, maybe the young men should not play sports if they can't handle the torture they receive with they're full ride scholarships, and the coaches being too mean. They should just enlist into the military instead. Oh wait.
Lastly... As I feel bad for all the people that died in Haiti. I cannot help but wander which celebrity is going to garner the most attention with they're sudden generosity. People are so good about coming out of the woodwork to wear the mask of a hero in times of tragedy. It isn't fun, and it isn't a joking matter. But believe me you will see exactly what I mean in the next few weeks. Where was this generosity before this tragedy? Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Western hemisphere more than half its people survive on less than $1 per day.
Every year, an estimated 38,000 children under the age of five die. Almost one out of three because of malnutrition. But it takes this for Angelina and Brad to donate they're million. I think you get my point. This is just my take.
